Many brands adopt a ‘Wait and See’ attitude on social media, posting for postings sake with no real strategy behind it. Without a well-researched Social & Content Strategy, brands are not making the most out of their marketing channels and likely not engaging their audiences enough. Consumers have never been so savvy – they will shop around before making a purchase, and social media has now become the first stop for many to research your brand. If your social presence isn’t attractive, engaging and informative, they will likely shop with a competitors, who is.


Mastering your social strategy means you will get the most out of your marketing efforts. Whether you’re B2C on Facebook, Instagram or TikTok, or B2B on LinkedIn and Twitter – having a well-researched strategy in place will make your marketing better & more engaging.


About the speaker

Mark has worked both client side and agency side, including Advertising Agency AMV BBDO and Media-Buying Agency Primesight. One thing that stood out to him was that many brands using social media either didn’t have a real strategy in place, or didn’t have the right type of content for social. (Maybe they have a TV ad – but the same ad for TV wouldn’t work as an ad on Facebook!) In 2018, Mark founded Double Up Social to help consumer-facing brands with social media and digital marketing, bringing all things marketing AND content under one roof. There’s no point having a social strategy without good content, and no point having brilliant content without a strategy – as it won’t be seen!


Mark’s worked with names big and small in the hospitality sector, including dessert parlour chain Creams Cafe, fried chicken chain Chicken Cottage, as well as a plethora of other restaurants, fashion, finance and e-commerce businesses.
